The optical Microscope is a type of microscope, which utilizes visible light and a system of lenses to obtain higher magnification and produce images of small objects. Often referred to as light microscope, optical microscope is the oldest design of microscope that is supposed to be converted into the present form of a compound microscope during the 17th century. Fundamental designs of optical microscopes can be very simple though there are several complex designs for performing complex tasks.
Optical microscope is the most common type of microscope containing one or more lenses that produce a magnified image of a sample placed on a focal plane. Optical microscopes have refractive glass and sometimes made of plastic or quartz. This help in focusing light into the eye or another light detector.
