Bandages are among the most basic and most frequently used medical implement. Starting from simple gauze held on with medical tape to especially sized or shaped bandages with their own adhesives, the injured person can find an appropriate way to cover and protect an injury. A basic format of adhesive bandage is commonly made from a normal strip of plastic or fabric with gauze in the center. It has adhesive on both the sides of the padded area. Specifically, the shape is rectangular, at times with rounded ends. A bandage can also be square and some of them come in tiny round shapes.
