Porcelain pestle belong to the set of a porcelain mortar and pestle. In fact, mortar and pestle are worthless without each other. Pestles made of porcelain are in much use than those made of other materials. Pestles made of wood may have a porcelain end for better pounding. Wooden pestles are less likely to have good effect on the materials to be crushed than porcelain pestles.
