Filter Discs are circular-shaped filters generally made of cloth or metallic wires. Metallic filter disc is a mesh of wires in a circular shape normally used to make a filtering device. Besides the regular filter discs, synthetic filter disc is another type of the filter disc used by mushroom cultivators. The synthetic filter discs fit perfectly on a variety of canning jars that are commonly used by cultivators for production on a commercial scale. Use of such discs allows constant exchange of fresh air and prevents harmful contaminants from entering the containers.
