A Reagent Reservoir is a piece of laboratory equipment used to contain reagents that are used in chemical procedures. The reagent reservoirs are usually made of plastic material such as polypropylene. The reservoir is very helpful for multichannel pipettes to be used into microtiter plates. Plastic reagent reservoirs have shallow wide-based designs with spouted corners for spill-free emptying of liquids. The reservoirs have deeper, narrower trough that helps in maximizing reagent recovery. Usually, inside walls are graduated for a rough estimation of the reagents contained in the reservoir. Some plastic reagent reservoirs are divided into two or more parts to keep different types of reagents. The types of plastic reagent reservoirs are available in non-sterile, sterile, pyrogen-free models with bulk or individually wrapped packaging.
