Plastic Measuring Jugs are generally used for measuring liquids in laboratories. These are similar in shape to a typical jug having volumetric graduation along its sides that help in measuring the contents of the jug. Plastic measuring jugs are manufactured using polycarbonate and commonly transparent in appearance. These are also widely used in home or commercial kitchens for measuring purposes. Though, it is not as accurate as a graduated cylinder but very useful due to its wide–mouthed opening often with a spout that facilitates easy pouring of liquids. Plastic measuring jugs are highly durable and can be washed easily for reuse. These are especially useful when a definite amount of substance is required in chemical reactions or for use in kitchens while cooking food.
