Plastic Immunology Plates are made of optically clear, non- toxic polystyrene. These plates are a handy piece of laboratory apparatus used to hold pipettes or tubes containing samples. Plastic immunology plates come with a number of U-bottom or flat bottom wells bearing alpha- numeric index. This is especially useful in a big laboratory where large numbers of pipettes or test tubes with different chemicals are to be kept and accessed on a frequent basis.

In a plastic immunology plate, uniform placement of all the wells facilitates use of multichannel pipettes. Most of the plastic immunology plates come with a lid to cover the wells of the plate; that prevents from direct exposure of substances contained in tubes or pipettes to the surrounding atmosphere.
