A Gas Syringe is a kind of laboratory glassware used by researchers/experimenters to insert or withdraw a certain quantity of a gas from a closed system. This is also an useful device for measuring the volume of gas emerging as a result of a chemical reaction. Also known as glass collecting bottle, it can be used to measure and dispense liquids as well, especially where these liquids need to be kept free from air. The device is highly useful in lab experimentation wherein a certain volume of gas is to be added or withdrawn from a a closed system.
