TA cuvette is a piece of laboratory glassware used to hold samples for spectroscopic experiments. It is usually a small tube of circular or square cross section having one end closed and the other open. A useful tool in the lab, cuvette is manufactured using different materials such as plastic, glass, or optical grade quartz. Cuvettes with optimum clarity are considered the best as it prevents misreading of spectroscopic data due to the present impurities. Similar to a test tube, a cuvette may be open at the top and can be closed using glass or other material. Parafilm can also be employed to serve this purpose.
