A Conical Measure is basically a device that is used for pouring definite volume of liquids conveniently into some other container. It has graduated marking on the sides that allows accurate measurement of liquids. It is similar to a graduated cylinder with a notch (beak) on the top that facilitate smooth pouring of liquid substances.
Conical measures are made of plastic, glass, or borosilicate glass. Plastic conical measures, generally known as measuring cups, are used by patients to measure liquid medicines for oral administration. However not as precise as graduated cylinders for measuring liquids, but conical measures make up for this in terms of convenient pouring and ability to mix solutions.
