Table Top Scales are probably the most common type of scales used these days in grocery shops, fruits shops, and retail outlets for weighing purposes. It has, to a great extent, replaced the traditional beam and arm balance that was in use for centuries. The scale is useful for the convenience in use and near accurate measurement of commodities’ weight.

A typical table top scale consists of two digital display panels and a control panel. One of the display panels is usually held by an upright cylindrical bar and the other is affixed beside the control panel. The main body of such scales are normally constructed using stainless steel and features flat weight pan. The table top scales come with the facility to calibrate automatically with standard weight.
