Muffle furnaces are front loading box type oven or kilns purposely designed for laboratory and industrial applications such as fusing glass, creating enamel coatings, ceramics, etc. It works on the principle of conduction which usually involves heating a surface and allowing the heat to radiate in the surrounding areas.
