Stretchers are the hospital furniture, which are used to carry the casuality. A stretcher is usually moved by two people, one at the head and the other at the feet. Most of the stretchers are made from metal, outfitted with foam padded upholstered top usually painted with epoxy coating, nylon coating etc.. Stretchers are available in wide range of styles, sizes, depending on the purpose it serves. Now days, stretchers are accompanied with more precision engineered casters that facilitates 360 degree movement. Further, they are provided with a lever to adjust the height, push handles for easy holding and some brakes to fully control the movement. Stretchers are not only required within the hospitals but also in different on location treatment cases, like causality, ambulance etc.
