Thudichum Nasal Specula is named after Johann Ludwig Wilhelm Thudichum, who was German physicians and biochemist and a pioneer in the field of Neurochemistry and the founder of “Brain Chemistry”. He has done chemical analysis of many human and animal brains and got his specialization in pathological chemistry. He is known for the identification and characterization of many compounds in brain such as cephalin, galactose, sphingomyelin, lactic acid and sphingosine. Moreover, he has devised nasal speculum that is used in the domain of neurochemistry.
