X-Ray Films are also known as photographic film that is exposed straightly to x-rays. Under most conventional radiographic examinations, image is transformed to light through an intensive screen prior to recording of the film. This film is a sheet of plastic coated with an emulsion consisting light-sensitive silver halide salts that is bonded by gelatin having various crystal sizes that govern the sensitivity, resolution, contrast of the film. It is due to the emulsion when exposed to the light, an image is formed which is although invisible, but gets visible after the application of chemical processes, also known as film developing process.
