Fetal Monitors are medical instruments that allow health care providers to monitor the development of the baby in the uterus. There are two types of monitoring that is implied in the procedure inclusive of external monitoring (monitoring from outside the body) and internal monitoring (monitoring from inside the uterus). Herein, external fetal monitoring is conducted through skin, initially not invasive by any means. However, external monitoring is not as efficient as internal monitoring as it cannot determine how strong the contraction is. Internal Fetal Monitoring allows to understand the exact position, contractions, and heartbeat development of the baby with great accuracy.
