Real Time PCR, or real-time polymerase chain reaction, is a technique employed in biotech laboratories and medical science to amplify and simultaneously quantify molecules or short strands of DNA. A method that can both detect and quantify, it helps measure the amplification of the product with respect to each PCR cycle. One of the best part part about Real time PCR is that it detects the amplified DNA in real time as compared to the standard PC, where the detection is possible only at the end of the reaction.
