Incubator is biotech lab equipment used to provide a control environment for the care of premature babies. It is a plastic box which maintains a warm temperature for premature babies as they cannot do it without the help. The box functions in two ways:

It can be set at certain temperature
The temperature of infant is connected to incubator to heat or cool the air as per requirement

It not only controls the temperature but also protect the premature babies from noise, light and infection. The humidified air is provided to suit the skin type of babies. Also, an apparatus is used to grow microorganisms and hatch eggs by maintaining the controlled air and temperature.
