Steam Indicator Strips are narrow strips designed to monitor the degree of exposure to conditions of steam sterilization in a pack. Also called �Steam Chemical Indicator Strip� sometimes, the indicator strip changes colour when sterilized. The colour change is very distinctive from blue to black that is not reversible.

The steam indicator strips are very useful piece of laboratory supplies used in the process of sterilization. A general application of steam indicator strip is in gravity and vacuum cycle. The length of such strips may vary depending on the type of application. 8 inches long strips are taken as standard size for use in the process of sterilization.
