A Fiberscope is a useful device to scrutinize small parts and components in areas where observation through naked eye is not possible. It is a flexible fiber optic bundle having an eyepiece at one end and a lens at the other. The device is used to examine small components in tightly packed equipment in situations wherein the inspector cannot easily access the part to be inspected.

The lens of fiberscope is often a wide-angled lens and the eyepiece is occasionally connected to a camera. Some fiberscopes come with an additional fiber to carry light from an external source for illuminating the substance under scrutiny; the additional fiber facilitates clearer viewing of the sample. Fiberscopes are used in a variety of fields such as medicine, machining, computer repair, espionage, locksmithing, safecracking, and computer forensics among several others.
