The Conductivity meter is used for measuring the electrical conductivity in any solution. It is measured in unit of Siemens. The conductivity depends on the space or distance between two electrodes of the meter and temperature of the solution. This simple device helps in monitoring the amount of salts, nutrients or impurities in aquaculture, hydroponics and freshwater systems. After the use of conductivity meter, it should be rinse in deionized or distilled water. And it can be stored in either wet or dry place, but recondition well before next use is highly recommended.
Conductivity = Conductance x Probes cell constant (K) / Conductivity = Electrical Current / Voltage x Distance / Area
