Capnograph is used for the measurement and recording of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in air sample with the absorption of infrared light. Over decades, it has become one of the important anesthesia monitoring resources. Also known as Capnometer, Capnographs are used for capnography. It is the process of CO2 concentration monitoring in the respiratory gases. Owing to its advantages, Capnograph is used in operating rooms, X-ray rooms, endoscopic suites, and even on-site, during critical situation on road. Capnography has been found extremely useful in conditions such as diabetes, asthma, pulmonary embolus, congestive heart failure, and others.
