Porcelain pestle belong to the set of a porcelain mortar and pestle. In fact, mortar and pestle are worthless without each other. The set is generally used in pharmacies or kitchens for crushing or grinding substances. The pestle is used for pounding the substances kept in the mortar, which is a bowl like containers varying in size as per the requirements.

Pestles made of porcelain are in much use than those made of other materials. Pestles made of wood may have a porcelain end for better pounding. Wooden pestles are less likely to have good effect on the materials to be crushed than porcelain pestles. Easy to wash and resistant to stains, porcelain pestles are very conducive to food materials containing moisture.
